Assuming the team is still working on the mod full-force, we’re still years away from its possible release. With this mod you will be able to wear many new types of armor, as it adds plenty of new sets to the game. However as many years have gone by since the game dropped, I have gotten used to seeing the same sets of armor over and over again. This being said, do keep in mind projects as massive as F4NV will take an equally massive amount of time. Fallout New Vegas is, in my opinion, the best Fallout game to have ever been released.

The modding community itself certainly isn’t dead, but all of the controversy certainly hit it hard. Presumably the mod isn’t officially cancelled or dead, but the controversy over the Frontier, TKS-Mantis targeting various teams, Nexus adding policies the big-named modders don’t like (namely taking away their ability to take down their own mods), and just the time since Fallout 4’s release in general has hit the modding community. The downsides for F4 are that it is much more shallow IMO. Yeah the graphics are very dated, and the combat is a definite weak point, but it's a real RPG compared to Fallout 4.įallout 4 on the other hand offers fun fast combat, improved graphics and environments, a much more in depth armour system, settlement building, and a larger map with more locations. New Vegas will give you more freedom in how you build your character, more varied and better perks, excellent writing, interesting quests with many options on how to complete them, unique NPCs and companions, an insane number of weapons with uniques that really feel and look unique, ammo crafting with lots of different ammo types and much more. Personally I think New Vegas is a much better game, but I think it would depend on what you're looking for.
